Wandering, not lost.
Dineke Versluis
From January 25 to February 15, 2025, Ballon Rouge will present the work of Dineke Versluis in her exhibition Wandering, not lost. The show provides a glimpse into her road trips through the American Southwest, highlighting landscapes, interiors, and cityscapes.
Dineke Versluis is interested in the boundary between the public and the private self and turns a documentary lens on where people live, work and spend their leisure time. She uses the classic roadtrip to find sites and situations that are momentarily devoid of people, but not without human presence.
Most important for Dineke is always the journey, choosing a couple of destinations on the map and divert from them freely, guided by whatever or whoever comes on her path.
